“The deeper one is drawn into God, the more one must go out of oneself — out to the world, to carry the divine life into it.”
— St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. (St. Edith Stein)
It is with a deep sense of purpose and gratitude that I extend my warm greetings to all who visit the digital threshold of Sacred Heart Convent High School (S.H.C.H.S.), Ahilyanagar.
Rooted in the enduring values of our motto — Truth, Love, and Duty — our institution seeks not merely to educate minds, but to shape hearts and awaken consciences. We are committed to nurturing individuals who are grounded in moral integrity, enriched by knowledge, and inspired to serve with compassion and responsibility.
Our vision is bold and prophetic: “The creation of a new human society where equality, freedom, love, justice, peace, and joy reign in an eco-friendly communion.” This vision compels us to build a learning environment where every student is empowered to be an agent of transformation — in their own lives, in their communities, and in the world at large.
Guided by our mission, “to reach out to humanity to bring the fullness of life and harmony in society and the cosmos,” we endeavour to instill a reverence for life, a passion for justice, and a sense of connectedness with all creation.
The words of the Prophet Micah echo our path:
“What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8)
It is this divine invitation that shapes our educational philosophy — one that balances academic excellence with empathy, service, and spiritual depth.
At S.H.C.H.S., we believe that every child is a sacred trust. In partnership with families and the wider society, we strive to create a safe, inclusive, and vibrant community where students flourish — intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. We aspire to form resilient young men and women who not only succeed in life but also contribute meaningfully to the lives of others.
As St. Teresa of Calcutta wisely said,
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
It is this spirit of compassionate service that we seek to cultivate in every member of our school family.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our guiding light, continue to bless our mission and inspire us to walk in truth, lead with love, and serve with unwavering duty.
With prayerful regards,
Sr. Mary Selma
